Greaves Farm Caravan Park
Our Story
Greaves Farm and the Caravan Park, located near Grange-over-Sands has been in our family’s ownership since the early 1900’s.
Mr & Mrs Hutchinson had welcomed Bed & Breakfast guests into the farmhouse since before the 2nd World War. The caravan park began in the early 1960’s with 2 static caravans for holiday letting as the farm diversified into tourism and an easier life beckoned with retirement from farming
By 1968 the park had grown to 20 static pitches, situated in the old farm orchard — where it still is today. A small touring and tenting field followed in the meadow next to the farmhouse, and the park continues to let 3 holiday caravans.
In the 1970’s the caravan park passed onto their daughter who continued to developed the park adding mains services to the static pitches.
Hard standings and Electric Hook-up pitches were added to the touring park in the 1990’s.
The current generation took over in 2013 and the caravan park is still owned and run by the same family and continues to be a small, quiet park in a lovely rural location. Many of our visitors return to stay with us year after year.
